Tips for an accepted photo

Different countries occasionally require slightly different sizes (for example 2×2 inches / 600×600 px for US visas). You can change the width and height fields to match any specification.

• Use even, natural lighting and a plain white or light-grey background.
• Face the camera directly with a neutral expression and open eyes.
• Make sure your head and the top of your shoulders are visible and centered.
• Avoid shadows, glare on glasses, and head coverings unless worn for religious reasons.

Print-ready output

After resizing, the photo is exported at high quality so it stays crisp when printed at standard passport dimensions. Combine it with the compress tool if an online portal also enforces a file-size limit such as 100 KB.
